History

The Canes Community Food Pantry was started by members of ECO Agency in 2021 who wanted to both provide resources for students who may have food insecurity and divert waste from local grocery stores. This started a volunteer-run initiative that had a location in the Whitten University Center and Welsley Church. Today, the food pantry relies on donations from Good Samaritan Meals as well as members of the University of Miami community.
